Today was an exciting day, besides it being the first snowfall of the season, I also got to meet author/illustrator Jan Brett, who is currently on tour for her new book The Mermaid. She’s always been a favorite of mine since I was little. I remember my 1st grade teacher reading The Mitten to us and having us act it out for another class. Our mitten was just tape stuck to the floor in the shape of one. I loved her work then and even more now.
